Wahoo no polysci today...I guess i will use this time to update livejournal on my life, and it's recent high points, or the lack thereof.
Ghost Academy is getting back together, only we won't be ghost academy. we're going after a singer, a particular one right now by the name of Joel Friday (formerly of Indira). Thusly we will have a new name, as we won't really be the same band. I'm pretty excited about this prospect.
School is going okay. None of my classes are teribly difficult or demanding, save music appreciation, and the only reason that class is expectant is it is an eight week class. same amount to learn, half of the allotted time. i.e. a paper every week. yuck.
I got my ears pierced and gauged to a 2, which hurt like hell, but i think they look snarky. one fell out while i was sleeping the other night, which supremely freaked me out, but thanks to my quick-witted actions crisis was averted. i think in the next week or 2 i'm going to get my lip pierced. it would go well with my huge jesus-beard.
i'm trying to find a job. i have a couple hot leads that need to be followed-up on...so we'll se what happens.
my car is supremely fucked in the ass, as it has a problem with the head gasket. who knows how much longer it will hold out. I know this, i'm never buying a chrysler again.
i'm sure there are other things, but nothing that warrants being typed. i'm off to write music.

Yesterday's weather was crazy. I took some sweet pics as these storms rolled in at around 6 last night. These were part of the same system that produced a bunch of tornadoes throughout Missouri last night, including ones near
dreamking's house in Springfield. I forgot to take pics of my Mom's car this morning, but there are some large dents from the baseball size hail that hit her car last night at work.
Here are some of the cooler pics I took.

Hm. I should like to find a new job. Problem is, i'm a college student. And being as such, it's hard to find places of employment that will work with/around that fact. Being semi-poor sucks sour frog ass.
Pics are coming soon. I just have to actually TAKE them first.
I also kind of want to skip class tonight. I won't thought. 2 more days and then spring break. w00t.

Well, fuck.
This notice was left for me at work today.
"Early notice:
Everyone's hours will be significantly cut through the month of April, due to problems with scriptpro (my bosses other work) and a major surgery I will be having March 16th."
WTF? Damn.
I guess i'll be having some free time here in a few weeks.
Maybe a weekend at Chris' is in order. I miss the old days.

i'm thinking about updating regularly again.
MWREMS academy picks up on the 18th. but at least i only have it at night. and my books were only 118.00 this semester. i'll probably need to pick up a stethoscope soon as well, but my mom has some spares.
by this summer, i will go from making about $200 every two weeks to making between $800-$1000 every two weeks...unless i decide to do CE, which i would still make $600-$700 every two weeks, and knock out some coursework as well.
if i can make to EMTP, which would take another year or two, i can make about $1500 every check. not bad. more than enough to finance an apartment. that plus whatever Krista will bring home.
all that remains will be to see if the stress is worth it.
i say yes.

anxious
in the headphones: The Kinks - Lola
Wow, this is the first time i've touched a computer since last year! No, seriously though, it has been like a week and a half. Well, i suppose it's time for the new year "here's what sucked and didn't from last year" bit. so here goes.
2005 bad -
switching majors. AGAIN.
the death of my friend Michael O'dell
almost being out of work
didn't have a car all summer
didn't have money all summer
friends going their seperate ways
2005 good -
closer than ever to Krista
deciding on a career
making lots of money at the end of the year
got a band together and played shows
saw Chris like 3 times
Jeff is a cop
Andy calling me
Star Wars celebration III
Well at least that's the very generalized version of it. Christmas was great. New Years' was also great. Both fairly low key, but I did learn how to cook chicken and dumplings.
I'm excited about 2006. A few of my friends share this sentiment, but i agree with them. 2006 will be a year of big change. There are re-unitings in the future, as well as the opportunities for growth in many areas. My fingers are crossed.
David Allen Weber. Yes you. Call me. If you don't have my current number, reply to this and i'll get it to you. I'll buy you dinner.
Happy new year everyone. Hope you all are getting started on the right foot. as opposed to your left one.

okay, so most of you checked out/friended the band. thanks for the support!
so what have i been doing? well, mostly gearing up with the band. lots and lots of practicing, trying to get money together for new gear/merch, and beginning to pester venues in the hopes that they will give us an effing show.
i've also started school this week, lots of early classes, most of which are the business variety, i.e. very boring. so far, it's the rigmarole of working out a sleep schedule, which can be especially tricky when i'm used to going bed around 3. but it's alright. school's in, which means fall is near. yum.
i've lost some weight, dyed my hair, and got some new clothes. i've been manically trying to find new music, and so far i'm succeeding. i'm liking architecture in helinski, autolux, morningwood, and bear vs. shark. there's more, but their names escape me.
Krista and I are still together and happily so. We've been broke all summer long, but it hasn't mattered much. we've managed to keep ourselves entertained.
i've seen dead leaves. i think.
anyway. i'm back to work pimping the band.
see ya.

I keep having dreams about the band i'm in. Not ones of rockstardom and drug usage, just random ones, doing random things, playing random songs, at random times and places. I have no idea what any of it is supposed to mean, if anything at all. My keyboard player has also been having quite frequent dreams about the band...just weird stuff. All I can do is hope it means something.

yesterday was just odd. wacky even. my cousin and i met for our morning work out, after which we were going to meet another cousin of ours, who had recently been married and was in town for the week. before doing this, i went to grab my check from work, where i found out that i had to be in at 3...where as previously i thought i wasn't to be in at all. you can see where i was confused. luckily, we work it out to meet my cousin and his wife for dinner. at work, i see the reports of the tornadoes and whatnot. i think nothing of it. i get out, we proceed to our meeting place, fazoli's. good food. good laughs. so on to some frozen custard. more laughs and food. sky starts to cloud up real bad, and we begin to see odd colors of lightning. like green and purple. we decide it best to head for home. on the way, it starts pouring in weird sheets, and the wind gets fierce. as we sit at a stoplight, we hear this insane howling sound, and i feel my car begin to lift! i thought we were about to picked up by a tornado. but luckily we made it home. we did find out that what we felt was the 77 mph gust front of the storm moving through, made apparent by all the down trees i saw on the way in this morning. like i said. weird day.
